Today on the broadcast I will be talking about

Rest in the Lord

Psalms 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

1. We will find rest in the old paths

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

1. We will find rest when we hear the Lord and do what he says

Isaiah 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;

And this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

1. We will find rest when we trust in the Lord

Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved;

In quietness and confidence shall be your strength: And ye would not.

1. We will find rest when we cast all our cares upon Jesus

Matthew 11:28 -19 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Psalm 116:7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee."
