Delighting in the Lord

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

1. Delighting to be in God‘s presence

Job 22:26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

2, Delighting to live with God‘s peace

Psalms 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

1. Delighting on God‘s manner

Isaiah 55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

1. Delighting to see God‘s mighty power

Isaiah 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

1. The pleasures of this world will cause us not to delight in the lord

Luke 8:14-15 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
