Psalms 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

1. Ruth was under the wings of the Almighty

Ruth 2:12 The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

1. The children of Israel were under the wings of the Almighty

Deuteronomy 32:11–12 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, Fluttereth over her young,

Beareth them on her wings:12 So the Lord alone did lead him,

1. King David desired to be under the wings of the Almighty

Psalm 17:8-9 Keep me as the apple of the eye, Hide me under the shadow of thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me, From my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

1. Wise men will desire to be under the wings of the Almighty

Psalm 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

1. Some will refuse to be under the wings of the Almighty

Matthew 23:37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not?

1. The safest place to be is under the wings of the Almighty

Psalm 57:1 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me:

For my soul trusteth in thee: Yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge,

Until these calamities be overpast.

Psalm 63:7 Because thou hast been my help, Therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
